a note on adult coats:
I remember meeting my first Maine Coon mama in 2014, at a breeder's house, and I thought "why are their coats so puny?" So in case any of you are wondering the same, here are before and after photos of a breeding queen from a friend. You can see her working coat, and her resting coat. Quite remarkable! Those hormones are a doozie! Reason #94 why it's best to spay and neuter your kitten.
