All kittens are reserved! Kittens were born on my (Christa's) mother's birthday, and she is the oldest of six, so my aunts and uncles get kittens named after them! (Families will of course pick permanent names, these are just for fun here at our home.) ---- Week 5: Kittens are eating on their own!! Always a huge sigh of relief, and of course fun to watch them gobbling up their food! (Richard is especially enthusiastic) They are on about half raw and half canned, with kibble out if they want (they don't haha). We enlarged their enclosure yesterday (the 18th), and they're enjoying more room to trot around! Litter box training is operating at about 90% accuracy.
Week 6 (Nov 22): Halfway!! kittens just upgraded to the whole room! They’re particularly enamored with the big sofa chair and are usually all bundles up together on one of the arms. Litter box use is perfected, and toys are now interesting. They’re still pretty shy at this age - around week 7 their courage comes out all at once! Really fun to watch them develop. We’re still slowly working our way through the reservation list.
Week 7: Kittens are starting to act like kittens! The first seven weeks are more timid, and then between 7 and 8 weeks, POP! They're suddenly curious and playful and hilarious. This litter loves the cat tower/tree more than any litter in the past, and are already often at the very top! Some kitten's mouths are dirty for this week's photos, since they all decided to eat right before I took pictures.
Week 8: kittens have emerged! They’re active and silly and so so so curious! I let them out of the dining room (supervised) every day for a little while. They’re mad at me when it’s time to get back in! We have half doors on our dining room, so they can see and hear everything, but don’t get free rein of the house just yet. Once they figure out how to hop the gate it’s all craziness here! All homes have been selected so I will hopefully get an email out to everyone soon. Please be thinking about pickup date!
*Families- please save any photos you want! This page will come down once all kittens are in their new homes, and I do not save all the thousands of kitten pictures.
